Seeing our Cycle of Habits

Life is so busy. Very often we get caught up in the busyness of life. We can’t catch our breath before we are running to the next meeting, task or responsibility. In this busyness, we also don’t know how to be bored or to just be still, to pause. When we don’t like what we are doing or we feel distracted or bored, usually we turn to our e-mails, our phone apps and social media sites. If we actually pay attention to this, we will see a cycle of habit within us. This small realization and focus of awareness may just open up a little space of time for you to breath, to be aware in that moment. You may find you have more time that you think just to be calm or to pause. Starting to pay attention to what we are doing at any given time, allows us to bring a small pause into our lives. A small calming breath. Mindfulness is about having choices, once you become aware – you have a choice.
